1. He’s a big fan of tennis and used to play competitively as a kid. He even had a tennis coach who was also the coach of one of his Formula One heroes, Michael Schumacher.

2. Ricciardo actually started out his racing career in go-karts at the age of nine. He raced competitively for several years before making the move to open-wheel cars.

3. Ricciardo is a big fan of Australian Rules Football and is a supporter of the Essendon Football Club. He even once had the opportunity to train with the team.
